Retail software vendor
We were approached by Pursuit software, with a request to assist with an IBM AS/400 data transformation and extraction request for one of their Customers. The project consisted of setting up connectivity to the Customer system, identification of key data files in a S/36 environment. These files were originally defined with a single field, of character type containing mixed data type. Therefore it was necessary to create new file structures to ensure the data could be correctly downloaded in CSV format, ready to be imported into their new retail software solution.

Aerospace engineering company
We were approached by Meggitt engineering. Their request was to first host one of their legacy IBM AS/400 systems in our data-centre facility, and secondly at a future date, extract historical data for long term storage in their current IT environment.

Consultancy services company
We were approached by Tata Consultancy Services. They had a requirement to retrieve data from an IBM System i (iSeries, AS/400) full system save set of 3590 cartridges. We proposed to first produce a listing of the cartridge contents, then to restore Customer identified libraries to an UKSYS.net iSeries system. Because TCS wished to receive the complete data in Save File format, saved to LTO cartridge in a Windows environment, all restored libraries were first saved to SAVF in an i5/OS environment then transferred to a Windows environment, before being saved to LTO cartridge format. After all tasks were completed, the 3590 & LTO cartridges were dispatched to their India TCS office.
